- How SSE can help with your ESD Flooring?
ESD flooring is a static control floor covering with conductive properties that is grounded to earth to minimise static generation and provide a controlled method of static discharge.
Anti-static flooring is designed to be low charging for static generation to provide a static control floor covering that doesn’t generate a high static charge when walking or moving equipment on it. An ESD Floor goes a step further by being designed to remove any static generated via the connection to ground. Therefore, an Anti-static floor is not the same as an ESD floor. Only an ESD Floor installation complies with IEC 61340-5-1. All of the ESD floors supplied and installed by SSE are ESD compliant and Anti-static Floors.
An ESD Floor provides primary grounding for people and equipment in an Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA), important for where transporting and handling sensitive components in an EPA is required.
We can help with all aspects of your ESD Floor, from specifying the most suitable flooring material, through to supply and installation of your chosen ESD Flooring, including a final ESD test and Certificate of Conformance to IEC 61340-5-1.
SSE offer a number of static control flooring options including conductive interlocking ESD floor tiles through to fully adhered static dissipative rubber and ESD vinyl options. All of the floors SSE supply are high quality with proven durability and superior ESD performance.
Buying a floor through SSE means a high quality compliant ESD floor, supported with the expertise of 40+ years of providing ESD floors and supporting ESD equipment.
